Acta Plantae Journal is a quarterly publication dedicated to basic Plant and Allied Science research. We welcome original research papers and review articles in these areas. Below are the guidelines for authors submitting their work to Acta Plantae Journal
- Publication Schedule: Acta Plantae Journal is published quarterly in the months of February, May, August, September.
- Types of Articles Accepted:
- Original Research Papers: These should present significant and novel contributions to the field of Plant and Allied Science.
- Review Papers: Comprehensive reviews of current topics are encouraged.
- Short Communications: These may contain concise, focused research findings or observations.
- Editorial Invitations: The Editorial Board may invite important short reviews from eminent scientists working in the respective fields.
- Exclusivity: Authors should ensure that the articles submitted to Acta Plantae Journal are not submitted simultaneously to any other journal for publication. Simultaneous submissions may lead to rejection.
- Peer Review: All research papers and review articles submitted for publication will undergo a peer review process by expert referees in the respective fields.
- Language: The journal is published in English. Ensure that your manuscript is written in clear and grammatically correct English.
- Submission Format: Manuscripts should be prepared in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Formatting Guidelines:
- Text should be single-spaced.
- Use a 12-point font.
- Employ italics for emphasis, rather than underlining (except for URL addresses).
- Illustrations, figures, and tables should be placed within the text at appropriate points rather than at the end.
- References: Include proper citations and references for all sources used in your manuscript. Follow the specific citation style outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- Review Process: Be prepared for your manuscript to undergo a thorough review process. Authors may receive feedback and revision requests from the reviewers.
- Ethical Considerations: Ensure that your research complies with ethical standards and includes appropriate disclosures of conflicts of interest, funding sources, and informed consent for human and animal studies.
- Copyright: Authors should be aware of and adhere to the copyright policy of Acta Plantae Journal.
- Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system, following the submission instructions provided on the journal’s website.

- Formatting Requirements:
- Manuscripts should be double-spaced.
- Use font size 12 (Arial or New Times Roman).
- Utilize one side of good-quality A4-sized bond paper.
- Maintain a one-inch margin on all four sides of the paper.
- Page Limits:
- Review Papers: Should not exceed 30 typed pages, including tables, illustrations, drawings, and graphs.
- Research Papers: Should not exceed 20 typed pages, including tables, illustrations, drawings, and graphs.
- Short Communications: Should not exceed 5 typed pages, including tables, illustrations, drawings, and graphs.
- Copyright Form:
- Authors are required to sign a copyright form granting the Publisher rights for all papers accepted for publication.
- Production will not commence until we have received a signed copyright form.
- Manuscript Structure:
- Begin with the title, followed by the names and addresses of all authors, along with their email addresses. This information should appear on the first page.
- The abstract should be on a separate page following the author information.
- Arrange the main body of the manuscript in the following sections: “Introduction,” “Materials and Methods,” “Results and Discussion,” “Acknowledgments,” and “References.”
- Tables, photographs, and all figures, including drawings, graphics, and diagrams, must be placed after the “References” section.
Title:
- The title should be concise, typically 6-12 words in length.
Abstract:
- The abstract should provide a brief summary of the main findings of the research paper.
- It should not exceed 150 words in length.
Keywords:
- Include a maximum of 6 keywords, separated by commas.
- These keywords apply to both full-length research papers and short communications.
Text Structure:
The main body of the manuscript should be divided into the following sections:
- Introduction (No separate heading required)
- Briefly state the objectives and justification for the study.
- Include a concise review of relevant work in the area.
- Materials and Methods:
- Describe the experimental procedures briefly.
- If using methods from other sources, provide proper references.
- If introducing a new method, provide detailed instructions for replication.
- Results and Discussion:
- Combine the results and discussion sections to avoid redundancy.
- Do not duplicate information already presented in tables or graphs.
- Support your discussion with relevant references.
- Statistically analyze all data presented in the paper.
- Conclude the section with a concise summary of findings.
- Conclusions:
- Summarize the key findings of the study.
- Acknowledgments:
- Include any acknowledgments of individuals, funding sources, or institutions that contributed to the research.
